How is that combat upgrade looking as far as improving the game? Protesters isn't a good sign, but then again everyone hates change regardless of if it's good or not. I remember first reading about the concept though and thinking it was pretty neat and would actually make it an enjoyable game.. Rumors of forced grouping? Give us the lowdown firsthand if you know

Did they make any improvements to imperial ships since I last played? My TIE Bomber seems just as sluggish as ever, but I was hoping they upped the mass of the lighter ships a little.

Ditto. They require an active subscription though, along with JTL, so really its just to entice us back to the game.

I honestly didn't expect/hope to see it released for another month. I haven't really kept up on it, but natural cynicism tells me there's no way it can be ready...

Early on in WoW, there was a warrior protest or something. A whole bunch of people from the boards made gnome warriors and ran to ironforge to spam the chat channels and whathaveyou. Got a response from the GMs over serverwide (A thing I have not seen since), and they (The protest) Crashed eastern kingdoms entirely.. This was back when EK crashed almost every night due to insane alliance populations.

I just wish they hadn't picked my server.

Remember when people were banned because someone else tipped them duped credits? There was a protest then too. People were teleported into space by the GM's.

Seems to me that in the Empire civil unrest would be delt with harshly, so the gms sending in the droids kinda makes sense.

completely different. it's like playing well.. a different game. They made it fall more in line with all the other MMO's out now. And its actually like work to go kill nasty badass shit.

Those Droidekas... I can solo groups of 4 or 5.. under the Combat Upgrade.. I get roasted by one of them. It makes more sense under the new way.. but its just not the same game.

Shit. That means Ill end up reinstalling EQ. Fuckers.

Have you tried EQ2? I can't bring myself to play EQ after playing EQ2. Combat in EQ seems so slow and boring compared to EQ2.
