What's a solid Mage talent build?

Im going for Frost/Arcane and this is what ive come up with..
this isnt for Pvp or PvE though but i can rock a few heads with this configuration.

Arcane Talents (29 points)


Arcane Focus - 5/5 points
Reduces the chance that the opponent can resist your arcane spells by 10%.


Improved Arcane Missiles - 5/5 points
Gives you a 100% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while channeling Arcane Missiles.


Arcane Concentration - 5/5 points
Gives you a 10% chance of entering a Clearcasting state after any damage spell hits a target. The Clearcasting state reduces the mana cost of your next damage spell by 100%.


Evocation - 1/1 point
While channeling this spell, your mana regeneration is active and increased by 1500%. Lasts 8 seconds.


Arcane Meditation - 5/5 points
Allows 15% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting.


Arcane Mind - 4/4 points
Increases your maximum Mana by 8%.


Presence of Mind - 1/1 point
When activated, your next Mage spell with a casting time less than 10 seconds becomes an instant cast spell.


Arcane Instability - 3/3 points
Increases your spell damage and critical strike chance by 3%.


Frost Talents (22 points)


Improved Frostbolt - 5/5 points
Reduces the casting time of your Frostbolt spell by 0.5 seconds.


Ice Shards - 5/5 points
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Frost spells by 100%.


Improved Frost Nova - 2/2 points
Reduces the cooldown of your Frost Nova spell by 4 seconds.


Cold Snap - 1/1 point
When activated, this spell finishes the cooldown on all of your cold spells.


Piercing Ice - 3/3 points
Increases the damage done by your frost spells by 6%.


Frost Channeling - 3/3 points
Reduces the mana cost of your frost spells by 15%.


Arctic Reach - 2/2 points
Increases the range of your Frostbolt spell and the radius of your Frost Nova and Cone of Cold spells by 20%.


Ice Block - 1/1 point
You become encased in a block of ice, protecting you from all physical attacks and spells for 10 seconds, but during that time you cannot attack, move, or cast spells.

I don't like ice so I'm not much of an expert there. However, fire has two buillds. You can either go with a scorch based build or the pyroblast build. All of it is pretty much based on solo preference though because in the end all that matters are 20 points in arcane.

For the second build you can take either PoM or Combustion. It really is a toss up between which is better seeing as how it is an auto crit pyro or an instant pryo.

There is also a flamestrike/blastwave build but it is pretty much ass. At least when I tried it.

I wanted to go mostly fire in the first build, and in the second I have no idea. I was thinking fireblast would be more important than IAE. Am I wrong? I was just saying what I may try next chance I get.

Ok I was thinking of the spell, blast wave instead of fire blast. I will probabbly use the second build except with 4/5 in arcane meditation and 5/5 in improved arcane explosion.

I find arcane meditation mostly useless. GMs have stated that it doesn't stack with mage armor, but of course GMs have been wrong before. Even if it does stack, it's not worth 5 talent points.

Improved Arcane Missiles is a must-have for soloing. Though when grouped, Arcane Subtlety eliminates the need for it. I plan on dropping it when I get closer to 60.

I'm loving Improved Counterspell. It's the 2nd best way to pull spellcasting mobs there is. (The best being to duck out of LOS, but that's not always possible)

Improved Arcane Explosion is NOT optional.

Does Arcane Meditation stack with Mage Armor? Nevermind. If it doesn't stack, screw it. Better off putting the talent points elsewhere.
