In Murphy's defense, that was a shitload more than a dozen cops, and he was also blinded by spotlights. But that's still not enough to even give him a chance, a T-800 faced even more overwhelming odds on multiple occasions. Your standard Series 800, Model 101 Terminator will utterly destroy Robocop. An ED-209 would be a more worthy adversary, yet I still give the victory to the 800.
A T-1000 or T-X can still trash anything the RoboCop franchise has to throw at them, but as history has shown, the T-800 is second only to mankind itself.
It's not something people hear about.
