Topic: Gah! Photoshop wtf?!

Why is every picture I open in Photoshop 7.0 darker than what it's actually supposed to be?! I don't get it.

Example: One on left is original, one on right is from a screenshot while opened in Photoshop.

Help.

Your photoshop brightness/contrast settings are fucked up somehow?

How would I find these settings? I have no clue how to use PS7.

The size of the image and/or how far zoomed out you are?

You're current image resolution is probably hugelol. Check the image properties

As for the brightness and contrast, it shouldn't be doing that, but you can change it under image>brightness contrast

I had the same problem with my photoshop. Go to edit->color settings to see if you have a different color setting for photoshop than the rest of the computer.

Don't help him!

It's a good thing that Gains doesn't have access to Photoshop.

For that, you'll be my first victim.

Make sure your image is at 72dpi and not 300dpi.

Gains: Disable the Color Management profile in Photoshop. Unless you're doing prepress work, you don't want it anyway.

Go get an account at hentaipalm.com's forums. It's free and there is a giant thread (like 600 pages) of TT pr0n. There's a couple hundred pages of Final Fantasy stuff too. The people are idiots but they know where to get the goods.

On my version of PS7, I already had Color Management disabled and it still had funky darker-than-normal colors. What worked for me was going into Color Settings and setting RGB Working Spaces to "Monitor RGB - Color LCD" (since my PS7 is on a laptop.) Previously it had been defaulted to ColorMatch RGB.
