I have a Radeon 9600 and a AMD Mobil 2500+ barton. I think the power supply I used fucked up everything in my computer. I might need a new mobo.

Find a friend with a known good one and shove it in your system and see what happens. Though something else might be up. Even a bad 450w is plenty of extra juice for a 2500+.
So 450W will do it.
EDIT: Also in the system: 5 hard drives. Snugglits fucked around with this message on 03-06-2005 at 11:18 PM.
Thanks for the help.

A 500W PSU runs 1gb of PC4200 or higher DDRAM at 2.9 or higher volts with a AMD64 FX-55 running well past stock speeds and voltages and a 6800GT video card.So 450W will do it.

Holy Shit.

Just one gig? I would've had you pegged for four gigs, with room for expansion, pending the arrival of 64-bit address spaces.

The RAM was expensive, coming in at ~$250 per GB. 1.5GB would show a little improvement over what I have, and anything beyond would have largely diminishing returns. My RAM has nearly 8GB/sec bandwidth, though.
The next time I change my motherboard will probably be after the arrival of 64-bit spaces at which time I may consider leaving the "traditional gig". Snugglits fucked around with this message on 03-07-2005 at 12:08 AM.
