How do you structure the opening of a Negative Case?

No problem, just keep in mind that there are much better, prettier ways of it. That's just the barebones elementary outline.

I start with a quote and then state: I agree with <insert name> against the case <state the resolved case>. I disagree because of the value of <insert value> and a criterion(sp?) of <insert your criterion(sp?)>...

Then move on to definitions that your opponent did not state and you find relevent.

That's how I've learned to do it through our competition drama team (drama forensics)... and by L.D. Debate, I took it you ment Lincoln Douglas Debate.
