yea, I saw this a little while ago, and Johnny depp looks creepy.

I can't wait!

But I loved Gene Wilder in the original.. I wish he still did movies. He's so talented.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

There is nobody in heaven nor hell who can play the role of Willy Wonka as well as Gene Wilder did.

That's the opinion of my household, at least.

I'm biased against this movie.

I hate Johnny Depp and absolutely cant stand Tim Burton's work. And I also think Gene Wilder is a minor diety.

I thought we'd come to the conclusion that it was another interpretation of the book and NOT a remake of the movie.

What with the title being that of the book and not the movie, it seemed pretty obvious to me. But, really, what the hell do I know?

Premarital sex isn't worth it! You can catch AIDS, or cancer, or testicle weevils, or a bad body image or rickets. You know what IS worth it? Making love to Jesus. Because you can't knock Him up and He'll never ask what you're thinking – cuz He already knows!

I've known about this for a long time. I want to see it a whole lot.

Gene Wilder is probably my favorite actor, but that doesn't mean this will be a bad movie. I think Depp will play the role nicely and the way he looks in it is already fucking awesome.

I havent read the book in 6-10 years or something but i seem to remember the ending (elevator and post elevator) being the chief storyline difference between book and movie.. but like i said.. 6-14 years ago.

Gene Wilder's only good movie was Blazing Saddles. So speaketh the Snoota.

"Then one day I hear, 'Reach for it, mister!' I spun around, and there I was standing face to face with a six year old kid. I just laid down my guns and walked away... and the little bastard shot me in the ass."

"Are we awake?"
"We're not sure. Are we black?"
"Yes, we are."
"Then we're awake, but we're very confused."

(Well, See No Evil, Hear No Evil was pretty funny too.)

I need to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I hear this is going try to be truer to the book that Gene Wilder's was. I love Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory to death.

I'm iffy about Depp but I think he'd to a better job that most others.

I like Johnny Depp, and I like Tim Burton.

I think this movie will tank and then fade into obscurity. Nothing can replace my original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Nothing.

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

The original would of been great, if they didn't made it into a God damned musical.

BTW I'll watch this with no high or low expectations. If it turns out crappy I won't be too disappointed.
