Personally, depending on the level of involvement. If we're screwing more than once a week then it's really no longer needed. Other wise, not much.
I started because it was one of those 'taboo' things when I was younger. Now I just do it because it's habituary, and it helps kill time.

No. I also do not consider jerking off to porn cheating while in a relationship if that is to be your next question. Having sex with your SO and fantasizing about one of the women in porn is a different matter.

I don't consider it objectifying women or anything any more than it objectifies men (though I have a feeling the men'd like that ), well, not most of it - there is fucky porn, but I don't judge the whole based on the really disturbing. As well as providing something to do alone, it can be a source of much stimulation between lovers. I don't think it's cheating any more than I think masturbation is cheating, but I can understand the concerns... cheating "in the mind" is something I can comprehend, if not exactly agree with.
Then again, I'm for open relationships and only consider it cheating if there's dishonesty involved, so what do I know.

There are different levels of cheating. They are all bad. Listed in order of bad-ness, you have-
1) Having sex with someone and fantasizing about someone else
2) Having "accidental" sex with someone while under the influence or while using bad judgement (i.e. emotional distress)
3) Having "accidental" sex with someone while sober and using good judgement
4) Having sex with someone more than once.
I would put looking at porn and masturbating to it at level 0. As long as you don't let it bleed into your sex life with your partner, it's just you doing what you have to do to meet your needs without involving a third party.

Now, if I had a girlfriend that wanted to have sex every single day, then I imagine I wouldn't need the porn to wank. Well, first off is obviously for masturbation purposes. Others have described this as well as I could. It feels good, it helps control some urges and it is definitely good for when you don't want a hard-on at random times in the day. In response to Mort, I don't believe that he doesn't masturbate at least once a day. ...I know I do. 
A great deal of porn that I look at is also for comic value. I love looking at porn with comedy in it. If I watch a porno, I'd much rather have a knock-off plot than just 2+ people going at it for no reason. A good example would be the "Lord of the G-Strings" movie. A big reason for looking at the...variety of porn that I find is to see just exactly how far people go in their quest for new ideas in sexual fantasies. I like seeing the limits that people reach and what fetishes they can develop. It's a sort of morbid curiosity if you get right down to it. I think it's really interesting how people can turn completely gross things into an erotic fantasy. This is why I like to read hentai/porn message boards in the fetish sections. Bondage has always fascinated me on a certain level. People take one of the body's least pleasurable feelings (pain) and associate it with one of the most pleasurable.
My favorite kinds of porn is usually drawn or animated because I enjoy seeing the time that these people put into it. Especially with porn drawn of American characters, I like how they put several times the amount of work into their erotic drawings that the creators of the cartoon actually put into making the character. It just goes to show how far people will take their interests.
Basically, I look at porn for a lot more reasons than just to beat off to it. It's much more of a personal interest than that.

I would have to rate it at perhaps a 50% overall increase in total intensity if I wait for anywhere from 2-7 days. Problem is it makes the time period spent up to that point so much more annoying constantly sporting wood and having my mind switch to a one track loop of "Sex, breasts, breasts, sex, food, sex" with no freaking off switch.
