Now, the EQ2 site didn't answer me. Neither did that guy I asked as I crossed the street. Here are my choices:
GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB
GeForce 6800 Ultra
GeForce 6800 GT
GeForce 6800 256MB
GeForce 6800 128MB
GeForce 6600 GT
GeForce 6600 128MB
I don't know what I really need, or what the 'GT' and 'Ultra' models have different. Explain please?
GT's best bang for the buck.
Ultra's rediculously expensive but rediculously fast.
6600's the midrange card.
Heh, with that aside, the GT is a significant step up from the standard issue one, while still trailing a bit behind the Ultra. It definitely is the best bang for the buck. The Ultra is expensive as hell because it's bleeding edge.
6600 is actually newer but as the number alone suggests it's not as powerful. The 6800 is the flagship of the 6000 series.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java the thoughts aquire speed, the teeth acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

You should tell NVidia to go to hell and die then go get a nice Radeon 9800 xt 256mb.
A nice radeon THAT SUCKS.

Because the 6800 is better? WTF?

Dude, I'm a quasi ATi supporter and even I know that you're an idiot
nVidia is the way to go right now, especially in the high end.

Roll the dice to see if Gork is getting drunk!
I have a BFG 6800GT (256) Works great for me.

I'm pretty sure it draws enough power to serve as the latter.

Dude dont tell him that. I don't know how wll you know RK but hes known to spend REDICULOUS amounts of money for better quality crap. Money he doesn't need to be spending.

Not really on the high end part. One ATI X800 XT PE card that was LN2 cooled scored around 8900 benchmark on 3dmark 05, whereas 2 SLI nVidia 6800 cards scored 10,118.
8900 isn't too far off from that number, especially for one card.
What happened to the RK Sigpic-spoofing thing? Now it's all unique with a base sigpic that no one uses. I think you've outstayed your schtick, RK. Gonna have to find ourselves another gimmicky rodent now
First off, Imp's right. I'll normally go with the bestest stuff out there. (And yes Impy, we need to see a movie, but you haven't been checking your voicemail. )
Second off, I'm sowwy Bajah. Kinda had my comp wiped clean a few weeks ago, so the only thing I've got to doodle with is MSpaint. Makes it tough to get anything looking good. Buuut, we'll go back to basics for a while.

Are you kidding me? 10118 is 13% higher than 8900. That's a huge gap for high end.

Exactly. Same card I have, and the only thing I'm worried about upgrading is the processor.

1 high end ati card scored an 8900 vs 2 high end Nvidia cards scoring 10.1k.
For 1 card vs 2, that's not a huge gap at all.

Um. Who the hell has liquid nitrogen in a real system? LN2 Cooled would lead to the fact massive overclocking is involved.
