I just upgraded my computer. I went from an AMD AXP1800+ to a AXP3200+. I went from Muskin 512MB PC2100 to Corsair 512MB CL2 PC3200 RAM. I changed from an Asus A7N8X-E to an Abit NF7. I don't like the mobo but the Asus was giving me trouble so out it went.

Now the problem I'm having is that I'm not getting the performance that I would expect. I booted up planetside and where I was getting 120fps idle before now I am only getting 90fps. This dosn't make any sense to me. Any ideas as to what could be causing this considerable performance drop when it should be a fairly substantial gain?

Is this in all games, or is planetside an exception?

Did you reformat and not get the latest drivers?

Check bios and make sure cpu clock is set right?

Didn't turn AA or AF up accidentally did you?

just a couple things to check since it COULD be tons of things.

I don't know the numbers on other games from before. I ran SiSoft and the numbers were coming out in order with the comparisons that they give you. The memory bandwidth is off, but I'm pretty sure that is because I'm not doing dual channel. The drives are the same as before, just new CPU, mobo, and RAM.

Edit: FSB was originally at 100, but I stepped that up to 200 where it was supposed to be. Everything else looked right.
