Where did all that ferocity go? If it was me, I'd have pulled on the handcuffs 'til my wrists bled, then I'd be kicking and screaming as I'm hauled all the way to the police car and spitting at them all the while. and while I'm riding the car I'd be screaming while kicking the windows and screaming.

He wasn't exiting. He was trying to break in. It wasn't easy but let's just say action had to be taken, and taken fast. If he had not been restrained he would've broken in.
