Did anyone ever buy this? BBC 2 had a show called Time Commanders that ran the beta of it, it was great to watch people fouling up and getting their legions slaughtered.
If anyone has it, is it any good?
Medieval: Total War, the game it is a sequel to, is one of the greatest games of all time. So I have little doubt it will be too.
You can light pigs on fire and send them running at War Elephants.
The game will own.
Twin fortresses pointing balistas at a valley of death, here I come.

I loved Medieval.
I am so definately getting this game.
The show is half the host talking at the actual location of the battle in question today with a few history experts being interviewed about it. The other half has the host narrating the entire battle which is reconstructed using the Rome: Total War game engine.
Its very cool.

Nae had this to say about Matthew Broderick:
MY ELEPHANTS WILL CRUSH YOUR FLAMING PIGS!
I haven't seen pigs used yet on the show, but the battle of Hannibal vs the Roman Legions was incredible. The Elephants (there were only like 10 or less) plowed through the ranks of the Romans like hot knives thru butter!

The first time they used flaming pigs in the E3 demonstration, they ran the wrong way and charged through the roman ranks. An entire regiment was routed and the elephants were unfazed.

This insanity brought to you by Callalron:
Ah, but if they work, they're great. Not only do you defeat the elephants, but dinner's already cooked for after the battle.
And besides, it's very funny
