I have come across a rather annoying problem. I can host games in StarCraft just fine, but whenever I try to host a game in WarCraft 3, no one can join it.

Would anyone be able to help me rememdy this problem?

I have this problem too. I get around it by simply allowing others to host the game, but it is somewhat annoying.

Yes, well I eventually plan on creating my own map and distributing it directly to the people so they may hold me in awe, so I need to be able to host.

If you are behind a router you need to open the port specified in your warcraft 3 config. Default is 6112. IF not, /shrug

Yeah, my father has assured me that all ports are open, yet randomly defining ports does not work.
