I'm looking to see if anyone knows of an outfit that's active and has some decent people still in it.
I know the servers merged so I'm not sure which of my characters are where, if at all.
I stopped playing right after the first (only?) expansion.
That being said if nobody knows of a big outfit, I'd like to get people together and maybe atleast form an outfit where, if not all the time, we could atleast have scheduled squad raids and stuff.
You might want to take a look at the BC boards, Nuke posted something there a bit ago about people from BC being welcome in his Outfit, but I don't remember the details off the top of my head.
PM it to me?When I was last playing, BC seemed like it was in the throes of death, so I didn't really expect it to be around.
Nem and Led and Rubashov were like the top 3 players out of 2000 or so on the server.
We kicked major freaking ass.
I owned people with the Bolt Driver, dueling snipers from other factions was such a fun past time. Especially since we could discuss shooting eachother in tells.
There was a Vanu sniper named Beck, and he and I fought like every night, by luck, and we talked together all the time, had some great times.
Not to mention the craziness of the game in general, like taking down a Galaxy by luck with an Enforcer and getting 6 kills,

I can't relate...but then again, most of my playing was during beta when we were stress testing the servers. Had some obscenely huge fights where you could rack up 20+ kills in a vanguard before getting smeared by enemy MAX's and AV weaponry. By the way, are Vanu still gimped? Last time I was on, Vanu players were still hoarding cyclers and shotguns in their lockers.
It's everyone's nature to horde foreign weapons in their lockers, I had Lancer, Lancer Ammo, Lashers, Beamers, Cyclers, and of course, Repeater Pistols.
Vanu kicked pretty good ass last I played, Lancer is not only an AV weapon, but a freaking Sniper Rifle.
Their Anti-Infantry Max owns also.
Last I played to, though, everyone still horded Cyclers (both NC and Vanu) because Cyclers owned everything.

Oh well, won't be the first $13 I've thrown away.

I recently rejoined the game cause some of my old EQ/DAoC friends are playing it. I'm on the Emerald server (USEast) in the Terran Republic in the outfit, abraxas.
They keep slowing everything down! Surge was nerfed, rexo was buffed way up, so all everyone uses now is rexo, pshield, and HA. No variety at all, really

Gunning for a Vanguard with a friend of mine on the phone as driver was fun, got a nice killcount too. PS was actually a rather fun game but I stopped playing it enough to warrant the steep cost.

All my characters were Tigerlily, Firelily, and Waterlily.

I'd like to try PS again. Unfortunately, it has a monthly charge and really doesn't seem to be worth that charge. Its a decent game, but I can get just as much out of hopping onto a server in UT2004, if not more because of UT2004's mods.

Yes. I started again after the core combat free week, or whatever it was.. god, it sucked.
I still remember the massive whines on the jackhammer, all the while every TR in existance was cycler sniping. >:(
Did they ever switch the pistols around?
The magnum (The TR pistol) should have been the NC pistol, the AMP been TR specific, or something.. since NC was power > Shots fired while TR was shots fired > Power.. :/
