I would buy Mazda, but not the rest that you grouped with it, so I didn't check. The rest were fine.

Oh, and I would never buy a Saab, but Subaru is cool.

I value reliability over performance. None of the modern cars made me totally happy, because the aerodynamic bodies make it difficult to see the front corners. Comfort is a plus, but is usually available with the higher models regardless of company. Consumer Reports gave consistently high marks to Honda & Toyota.

Since I bought my Corolla 22 months ago, I've been pleased with the decision. The deciding factor between it and an equivalent car from Honda: the Corolla had better rear visibility. It was a pain in the @$$ to get my hands on the car, though, because Toyota had planned to phase it out, so they didn't produce enough of them that year.

My exact thoughts. Plus I picked. Chevy/GM line(can't beat Chevy), Toyota/Lexus, and Merecdes/Mistsu. Dodge came along with my votes, but I'd be iffy with them.

Mazda and Ford are the same company. The focus and the mazda 3 are the same platform, for example, just as the mx-6 and probe were in the past and the new taurus and mazda 6 will be in the future.

Pretty much.

And for me, anything Chevy, purely for dependabiluty, availability, ease of parts, and price with some loyalty thrown in. A close second would be Dodge, but ONLY from the last decade or so. Early Dodge was shit, and I wont touch a Ford unless I am purely SOL. Honda's and such I just wont fucking touch. (Working for NAPA, I not only learned to despise the foreign cars just from a plain practical sense, but from the fact that buying one may be cheap up front but over the long hual they will gut you clean. And no, they are no more stable than any car, they are not overly dependable as far as breaking down by comparison regardless of what the company ads may put a spin on. Exceptions are like the handbuilts and QA controled rarities. Like Porsche, Ferari, and such.)

mercedes is owned by diemler, as well as mitsubishi motors, chrystler, and dodge. For example the new dodge magnum is on a mercedes platform, although i'm at a loss right now to say which one.

Anything GM, we get a discount since my grandfather worked for them way back when. In fact I own a 2002 Chevy S-10 with the ZR5 package, and I am working with my dad to restore a 1970 and 1968 GTOs.

I also don't see Harley-Davidson. I may only have a 2000 Sportster Custom, but it's still a Harley.

Anything but a Kia, Hyandai (even if they are cleaning up their act), Dodge, Ford, or Jag.

Didn't know that the people who owned Dodge owned Mercades

I'd never buy a ford.

Hyundai. My roommate just bought an '04 Tiburon for 24,000! I thought he was dumb as hell when he called me saying he was coming home with it. He got home, its okay. Doubled my expectations from a Hyundai. They are at almost Mazda/Toyota level now I'd say.

Anyone who chose Kia...die plz. I know only Monica has rode in my car around here (When it was working). They are the WORSE cars anyone could ever buy. I've had mine for a year and I've only drove it 3 months out of is. I bought it for 1200...and have spent over 5000 on it. It's only a 1997 too. My friend bought a 2001 and the starter went out on it the first week she had it. Damn cars.

When I sell my Kia, I want to get a newer Grand Am...they are pretty.

I mah wee lil 92 Mustang. Haven't had *too* many problems with it, just the usual stuff - brake pads, brake fluid... had alot of trouble with the transmission for awhile, fluid was leaking out somewhere, but we put some stop-leak stuff in there a few months ago and I haven't had any problems since. Got a new alternator on there recently, came off a parts car we have though so it didn't really cost us anything.
