I'm looking for a decent peach-y-ish wine.. Which might you recommend?

(Also did a search for spumante.. though that came back with conflicting information.. so any info on that would be appreciated as well)

Good luck finding one. I recommend you go to a local wine shop, not a run of the mill one, but one with staff that travels and taste wines from all over the world. You should be able to tell them what you are looking for, why, and how much you are willing to spend, and they can point out a good wine to buy. And if you are in or near Omaha, Nebraska, or Atlanta, Georgia, I can tell you where to go.

My first guess is that you are looking for a white wine, either a Sauvignon Blanc or a Chardonnay. But that information doesn't help one bit given the variety of flavors that either grape produces.

Obamanomics: spend, tax, and borrow.

Hmm, "peachyish"....

I'm guessing you are implying a sweeter wine with that.

Maybe a good Riesling Ausliese? German Mosel wines of Rieslings are usually pretty good.

Another idea, a Sauturne (sp?) may also be a good choice, as it has a vaugly peach like taste. Can be very good, but can be very expensive too, depending on maker/quality/etc.

Another thing to try would be a good Mead. Mountain Medows Agave Mead at this link (under mead) has a taste very much like a Sauturne, but much cheaper.
