Goin on a road trip with my family and cousin... Of course, this means I need to keep myself occupied or get stuck in constant family bickering during the trip. Since i've put off getting a GBA for so long, I don't really know what to get...

Suggestions?

FFTA is a good choice, as is Fire Emblem. The Pokemon games are pretty good, and Golden Sun is a fun little RPG. Get Harvest Moon if you're weird like me and like it, it's damn fun if a little weird. Gotta dig out my collection...

The Golden Sun seriesa nnd Lunar Legends are good. The Super Mario Advances are fun, too. The Castlevanias on GBA will keep you busy, but you might get bored on replays.

Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I haven't played Zero Mission, but I have yet to be dissappointed by a Metroid title.

Chickens are assholes, I've noticed. They hate me too. My cows like me more, aren't such asses. But I can't throw my cows. Whenever I'm pissed at the chickens, I THROW THEM IN THE SNOW.

FFTA hurt my eyes.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is the best of the GBA Castlevania games. You can tell they were trying to make it like Castlevania: SotN. They didn't get it all, but they did a good job.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. Get it. It's the SuperNintendo Zelda game, Link to the Past.

Pokemon: Ruby/Sapphire is good, if you can get past the fact that it is a Pokemon game.

Actually it's called A Link to the Past and the Four Swords portion is just the multiplayer aspect. My nephew has it.

I allways see it listed as Four Swords first, and Link to the Past secondary. So, I figured it would be easier to find under the Four Swords name.

But either way, it's a must have.

It's Link to the Past

Because they're coming out soon with a GB Four Swords that's actually called Four Swords. It was a bonus feature of the GBA version, probably intended to be a sneak peek at the GB one.

If you want a decent storyline, kinda modern day, you can get Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars. Its a detective-like game, chock full with smartass remarks.

And they have a new GBA Link game coming too, The Minish Cap. Simmilar graphics to Link to the Past, but Link looks more like the Windwaker Link.

Sword of Mana, Breath of fire, BoF2, Advanced Wars, Advanced wars 2, FFT:A, Harvest Moon: friends of mineral town(it can hook up to its a wonderful life too) , uhhh the sonic games they have are fun. Basicly what I do is look at the preowned games in EB or Gamestop or something and see if there are any games that are cheap, I picked up Broken Sword:The shadow of the Templar. Which is an adventure game and is pretty neat. Uhh i dunno, whatever tickles your fancy when you go to buy a game is always fun.(its what i do most of the time)

this really doesn't go anywhere does it?

What am I supposed to in here again? Oh yes something witty and oh so pretty!

Uhm..all the Mario ports are pretty good - I would advise you on pain of death to stay away from Rayman Advance, though. That game is shitty.

If you can find them: Doom, Doom II. They work pretty well on GBA, since they don't require a Z-axis. The only issue I have is that for most of the control schemes, you have to hold 2 buttons while pressing another to change your weapons.
