I'm picking it up tommarow. Can't wait. Blindy fucked around with this message on 04-20-2004 at 11:10 PM.
Wow.
Thats one god damn amazing car. I've always had a thing for Volkswagen's.
1) Is it manual?
2) Is it diesel?
2. I've been considering getting a GTI diesel as my next car. Fucking gas prices. But yeah, I imagine that sucker goes like snot. And the torque curve's supposed to be flat as a...really flat thing. Yes.

Selling to me at invoice (22,000), and they are giving me the full value of my car debt as the trade in allowance (7,640), even though the fire is only worth 4,700 or so. All this plus 3.9% financing. I'm happy. Blindy fucked around with this message on 04-20-2004 at 11:25 PM.

My truck needs atleast 20-30 bucks a week to get me to work and school.
My old VW diesel Rabbit needed like 15 bucks once a month to be filled up.
I could care less if it couldn't get over 65mph unless it was going down hill in a tailwind. Engine ran great, outlasts the rest of the car, just feed it a bit of oil every once and a while and it purrs...well purrs as good as a diesel can.
Gunna rice it up?
nice car

Want me to stop by so you can take a look at it?
Heh. Nah, you'll just make me hate the fact that I still have a substancial portion still to pay on my Protege. Though, An EC day to D&B's might not be out of the order... course that will require a new thread.
It was really nice and I been wanting to get one

They let you drive the gti? or the golf?
Be careful... the right new car can have quite an effect on you... take a look at something I wrote four months after getting my Neon is 1999.
The scary part was a year or so I typed "Tao of Neons" into Google a year ago... apparently I missed my own 15 minutes of fame. Figures.

Oooooohhhh, ch3xy rotary power. Me rotary cars. Do you have the twin turbo setup? If so, is 6-7K where the second turbo finally gets going?

No, mine's an old Series I 13B rotary...no turbo... the twin turbo versions were the Series IV I think (or maybe III.. I'd have to check) But yeah on those ones 6k is where the second turbo really spools up and starts blasting.
..but my old one still canes most 6cyl & V8 engined vehicles off the line... I lose out to things like EVOs, WRXs, etc..
Its a road trip car.
Never liked those, personally, but still a nice car.
