A guy in Toronto did something similar, he would take full colour drawings from comic books and draw them on the sidewalk downtown for donations. It isn't comparable due to different genres, but both were amazing. The people who owned the resteraunt behind where he painted, painted the sidewalk for him so he could draw. Last picture he left he said he was moving to Halifax and getting married.

The muses are rediculously awesome. I'd be afraid of walking over it due to fear of falling in that pool...maybe I wouldn't be afraid when you look at it like that.
