At least I've got a patch now to fix my major pet peeve with Mozilla.

okay
The fucking bug's been open for 3 years, and I fixed it by changing about 10 lines of JavaScript (of course, tracing my way to that JavaScript took like 3 hours, but you'd think the people that supposedly work on Mozilla every day would have just been able to skip right to the minor fix).
I have absolutely no faith that my other showstopping bug will ever be fixed.

Ya know.... I'd think after this long you might realize that you're in the minority on this bug man... Yeah it's nice to have a fix, and yes you had to do it yourself, but since you're the one I've seen the most upset by this 'issue', I'd have to say that it can't be that major a bug. ESPECIALLY if the fix was something as 'simple' as you've stated...

It's on the top 100 voted-for bug list -- and it's been open for 3 years.
The other bug my patch fixes even had a patch submitted for it some time ago that was never even responded to. Mozilla is suffering serious detail rot.

What's your other showstopping bug?

He submitted it to Bugzilla, the patch will be thrown into the official release afaik.

Or ignored. But hey, he has the fix at least.

Not being able to print from the commandline without spawning up a browser window (e.g. "mozilla -print http://www.google.com" or "mozilla -print /home/timf/foobar.html")
Yeah, it's a bit obscure of a need, but it's actually required for complete integration into both Windows and OS X, and would be a kick ass utility on Linux; and it's an absolutely required need for my browser workflow.

Ignored so far, but it's only been 24 hours -- can't expect the Mozilla peeps to be responsive or anything...
