It's from a set of high speed photographs of a bunch of different things. A lot of them have to do with bullets hitting things like playing cards and apples and whatnot, but there are others in the set as well. I'll see if I can find you the site I found it on.

But the particular photograph is part of a set from a ballistics test using a specific camera.
Basicly, they shot a bunch of things and looked at them in very precise frames.
Needless to say, the pictures were... still. Heh.
