If you want to play just two players, do both players need a GBA or can one use the NGC Controller while the other uses a GBA?

You didn't read this week's VG Cats, did you?
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

Yeah I read it...but its satire.

So you can use the control, you're just gimped compared to the GBA users?

Every player needs their own GBA and link cable.

Graah, damn it. Just got one GBA

But I so thought 1st player could use a controller if they had to.

Nope. For multiple players to play they each need thier GBA and GBA+GC link cord thingy. This is why I got CoN instead of FF:CC, FF would have cost me $20 more than CoN because I would have had to buy 2 fucking link carts to hook up to my four-seater nifto cart to get moving (and probably a bigger backwheel too, only have two 59 memory cards from when the GC was first released). Might ask for it for my birthday, or possibly some time a little while before it, but I don't plan on getting FF:CC any time soon.

Hey, its a japanese originated company. Change the T to the yen sign that kinda looks like a Y mutated with a equals sign.

In all honesty, the way it is, the setup for the game is perfect. Theres ALOT of menu drudging in the game, and all the time spent sitting there while someone whos slow with menus goes through them would be boring.

Nope. The GBA functions as a second screen for on-the-fly command menu changes. But you have to be careful, since if you pause the game, you can't use the GBA menu options.

Oh, and it gives radar. Which is handy, I guess.

In 2 or 3 player games, you kinda get boned

Since it randomly distributes Map, Monster Location, Treasure Chest Location, and Monster Scan Data among the 4 players. With 2 or 3 players, you're going to be missing abit of info.

Though, Treasure Chest Location is pretty useless :/

Without requiring the GBA the game would duly suck. In all honesty it is absolutly amazing the way it is. All you really have to do is get your friends to chip in for the cable and tell them that if they don't have a GBA that they can suck it because it is one of the better systems out.
