Personally, I use Cakebot most, because I like that he has short delay and good damage on his #1, and his #2 ans SS are excellent tactically. Makes stacking enemies easier, helps bunge people, just generally a good tactical member of a team.
I sometimes use a grub if we already have someone who is a good Cake user on our team, because he has good damage potential as long as you know how to use him, and phenominal potential on his SS.

He's not all that great, but the bee's cute.. and if anyone gets in close they're most likely screwed.
Lately, I've just been picking bots at random on whims, making myself play different ones for lack of anything better. Can't stand BigFoot or Trico though, so I avoid them

Mage: Badass accuracy, shot 1 bunges a lot better than people think.
Grub: Most fun to actually attack with, since shot 2 actually rolls, you can shoot at a hill, shots will roll down hill onto opponent, can bounce shots off of the level's borders. Just an over-all fun mobile to use.
Aduka (THOOOOOOOR BOOOOOOOOT): I like it just because it can shoot thor, powers up every round, and is one of the more unique bots to use.
My favorites were Nak, Mage and Armorbot.
My least favorite was Ice. He just plain sucked.
If I'm playing against a grubwhore, I use cakebot.

I also love Raeon Launcher, his shot 1 is solid damage, great for bunging/digging, his shot 3 is wonderful, and his shot 2 is fun all around.
