If you've ever been to Sydney before, the actual landing site is not far from where the Sydney Opera House now stands, in a small cove now known as Circular Quay (the base from which all the ferries that service Sydney Harbour as public transport, since trains and buses don't mix with water too well

Anyway, the majority of Australians couldn't care two figs either way.. Mostly it's an excuse to have a day off (usually a long weekend) and drink a lot of beer while going to BBQs with friends..
