Good luck.

I signed up with them a while back, and can't stand the server. Maybe it's just my dialup, but their website itself is fucking abysmally slow. I time out just trying to log in and modify my 'package', which seems impossible to do anyways.

Well... That's nice and all, but hosting it off of your home computer is hardly worth it.

Homestead gives 500mb of space? Nice.

Since when? Homestead gives almost no space, from what I remember

There was loads of sarcasm in that post. The place posted does give 500mb whereas the place it was compared to (Homestead) does not.

My BF hosts both of his domains on 1and1... I think I'm going to look into it.

Set my account up this morning and have been playing with it to test stability. The speed is very good and the php, mysql, and ssh is nice as well.. Seems well worth paying nothing

I know. Homestead gives 16mb last time I ever used it, and I only did because I needed a remote image host.

Yeah, my BF finally got around to doing SOMETHING on one of his domains.. Turned it into a political forum. PHP seems to run smoothly.

Man, I wish we had found this when my (now dead) site was started, we ended up using a german server to get what we needed, SQL qurries were annoying.
