Anyway.
How did good Charlotte get voted as #2 as far as "Artist With Most Integrity" and #1 as "Biggest Sellout in Music"?
Sadly, I think I was asking myself this question last year, as well.
I know someone is going to insert some rational answer I don't want to hear, like, "Well it obviously shows the diversity of what AP readers listen to." Meanies.

I dunno.

AP sucks... I think.I dunno.
AP has a tendancy of putting some of the shittiest bands on their covers, but putting lots of stuff about good bands on the inside.
I'm always kind of embarrassed when I buy it. Last time, Good Charlotte was on the cover. This time, it was Simple Plan.
Since when was Good Charlotte "alternative"...I hate that bad. My frigging sister listens to them. ¬¬ Thankfully it's a step above the "boy band" shit. Silly though...
WHY?

Moderm music confuses and frightens me, unless it's by BNL or R.E.M.
No worries, Brian; it confuses me, too.

Alternative Press? Is that for alternative music?Since when was Good Charlotte "alternative"...I hate that bad. My frigging sister listens to them. ¬¬ Thankfully it's a step above the "boy band" shit. Silly though...
WHY?
Big bands tend to make the cover, in order to (I assume) help it sell. The inside contains all kinds of different stuff, though.
The only things I bother with anymore are:
A. Do I like the music?
B. Is the lead singer a chick I'd like to boink?
Other than that, I really could give a shit less about things like how evil a band is, just because they decided to go out, and make a living off what they do. Some people think that bands should only do things "For the music" or "For thier art" and not sell out. But if these people could not make a living doing thier music, they would be working at McDonalds, or Convenience stores... or wherever else Snoota has worked before. If they couldn't make a living off it, by "selling out" they WOULDNT PLAY.
Hell, I wouldnt devote my life to something, if that something didnt support my life in return.
I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!!!

R.E.M.
Random Enema Machine....
I have no idea why, but I can't see that band's name without thinking about my roommate refering to them by that....

Leopold, the Voice of Reason had this to say about Reading Rainbow:
Maybe there's an equal amount of voters who believe one side as there is who believe the other?
Seems like there should have been another band that all the GC-lovers thrust to the top of the "Biggest Sellouts" list then. Unless they didn't coordinate their efforts, those silly geese!
Oh well. Not going to bother speculating anymore. Muah! [ 01-06-2004: Message edited by: Monica ]
