Midterms start tomorrow.
edit: I woke up about half an hour ago, which is when I had been going to bed for the past 2 weeks x_x [ 01-05-2004: Message edited by: Gadanii ]
I know lots of people going back soon though and I pity them.

My mom isn't feeling well so she stayed home today, meaning I get to take her car to school. No 90min bus ride either way for me! Yay! I'm just about ready to leave and I go out to get the car warmed up, since it's colder than a witch's tit in an iron bra outside.
The fucking doors are frozen shut.
Now I know you're all thinking "Well, just splash a bit of hot water over the icy bits. That'll get her open." I say screw it, the first day is a waste of time anyways. All the teachers just stall for the first three or four days because so many people are still adding/dropping classes. And I would have been dragging ass all day since I only got 3 hours of sleep.
then school starts on wednesday.
but my semester ends April 13th, and then I move permanently (sp?) to barrie.
the only thing bad about this is: I've got the flu. yup, Heather's sick. and the wierd thing is, it started the minute I hit the Barrie city limits. Not a clue before, and then BAM!
gah.
So I usually catch the bus at 7:30 to make it to class at 8:30...I catch the first bus and we make a few stops, then we make one and it's like the bus driver is revving the engine for awhile. So I think we're stuck or something, sit there about 45 minutes until the mechanic comes from downtown(I live in a small town outside a large one) we're informed there's no oil pressure for some unknown reason.
The next bus finally comes and we transfer to that...we make a stop across from my old highschool to drop off all those kids, and we don't move for awhile.......so I'm standing there thinking 'what the fuck, no way this bus can brake down too' but alas, I was wrong. No oil pressure for some unknown reason, we have to wait for the mechanic to be finished with the first bus I was on, so he can come fix this one.
So once I'd stood on two different broken down buses for 1 1/2 hours combined, I decide to give up and hitch hike home, and here I am, warm, eating food, and watching the World Juniors hockey, Canada vs USA(1-0 Canada at the moment, muwahaha).
Rather looking foward to it...
but instead my mom's probably going to make me help her take our cat in to be put down.
Fucking cold.
I haven't even been to class yet.

So, two bowls of Cheerios and more tea later, I am out the door! For some reason, possibly the house next to me is an ENERGY FUCKING HOG that radiates fucking heat, the snow on the branches above my house has melted and dripped down and refrozen, leading to a niiiice walkway of ice. I have icy stair phobia. I am verrrrry careful on icy stairs, from the time I, oh, NEARLY PARALYZED MYSELF. NEvertheless. I make it out, onto bus, mutter mutter TAKES EIGHT YEARS mutter, school.
School was a fucking JOKE. As in, there were maybe two thirds of the kids there and the same amount of teachers and everyone was tired and grumpy. My first period teacher was a fucking bitch about an assignment, like, I was not told about it but it had to be in today, and it wasn't the final draft of the project, just my fucking NOTES on it but they were somehow SANCROSANCT and if I didn't do them it was CLEARLY OBVIOUS I wouldn't POSSIBLY be able to get the rest of the goddamn thing done because there's this SCHEDULE we're supposed to follow and no one can, say, work their ass off in a day or sometyhing because that's not what you DO and I'm going to KILL HER with an ICE PICK. Arg. Next one was also insane, with a teacher I rather like going all cold and stern and bitchy all of a sudden and springing a test, and being all pissy with us if we didn't work ahead. Lunch was OK, yummy fries, last two classes were kind of OK as Philosophy is ALWAYS a cool class and anyway we're onto the bit where we get to work out our own philosophy soon, and since I've been doing that since I was like twelve I am having fun. Plus I got to rant about apathy for twenty minutes. My last class was another fucking joke, another snippy teacher getting pissed about people doing such little things as SHIFTING THEIR BAG. Because he didn't like them, and they were "jokers".
Now it's cold, and I am hungry, and I'm going upstairs to get a Pizza Pop and more goddamn tea or something.
Fuck today.

I guess you have a point, but still if it started later it would end later too, and your whole day would just shift.
