Anyway, the only ones I feel comfortable answering are as follows...
1. Best FPS - Call of Duty (Haven't bought it, played it on someone else's laptop at work. Excellent shooter by all counts.)
14. Most anticipated game of 2004 - EverQuest II
You really need to add a best Strategy option as well. That genre is far from dead and there were some really good ones produced this year (i.e. Rise of Nations).

Theres a problem with that. While Half-Life 2 has a projected release date, DNFs release date is still unconfirmed. Which is a good thing. Alot of people would HATE 3D Realms right now if they had to push back the "release" date of DNF. So what would you do? Keep stringing them along with dates(TeamFortress 2), or just tell your fanbase that you'll release it when its ready?

NOT BASED ON A MOVIE. BASED ON A MOVIE IS RETURN OF THE KING, HULK, AND WHAT-HAVE-YOU.
It's not something people hear about.

Well keep in mind he also has Half-Life 2 as the Best game that was anticipated for, as well as most anticipated game of 2004...

Nobody really understood why Tatsukaze wrote:
Technically it is based off a movie. And HL2 was anticipated both this year and is now anticipated for next year.
Have you PLAYED Half Life 2?

You're mistaking based on a movie with retelling the story of a movie.
Following your logic, the X-Men movies wouldn't be based on comics because that particular storyline was never told and the characters are kinda different too.
So yes, KotoR is indeed BASED on a movie. Or INSPIRED if you want. The movies and books and comics, but mostly the movies are the BASIS of the game.

This insanity brought to you by Faelynn LeAndris:

Doesn't matter. The game was anticipated, wether or not it was playable. Infact, isn't that the whole point of anticipation, excitement before it becomes available?

The option said "Best game, that was anticipated for" which to me reads as, "I anticipated this game, and it turned out -when it came out in 2003 and I played it- to be the best of the games I anticipated. Where as -insert other anticipated game here- did not live up to expectations." It also implies that it was a "Game of 2003 that peopled anticipated the release of in that year." especially since there is a Most anticipated game of 2004, option.
Having the leaked 'hacked' HL2 game doesn't really count since it's not really the legal release, or complete 'polished' release of the game.
Beta I guess would be okay, but to my knowledge there has been no public beta. I could be wrong there.
