So anyway. I just got how from the police station. But Azizza you ask, why were you at the police station? Well I am glad you asked that question.
You see. Most people spend their lives never being the victim of a violent crime. I am on number three now.
For anyone who cares. For those who dont *shrugs* I just need to vent.
I decided to spend go in and try to work on a speech we have been trying to finish for a week now. I figured if I went into headquarters while no one was working, I would have more time to think without interruptions.
Well a bit after midnight I decide to get something to eat. So I walk the 1/2 mile or so to a Pub that a friend of mine owns. I eat and then head back to headquarters. By now it is about 12:45 or 1:00.
My mind is working overtime trying to figure out how to finish this damn speech. I am about half way back to headquarters when I suddenly get the wind knocked out of me. This was of course caused by a man about my size hitting me in the back at high speeds. I stumble forward but manage to keep my balance. I thought it was strange that I couldnt throw my arms foreword to catch myself. It took me a second to realize that it was because the guy had his arms locked around my torso.
I was freak out more than I really care to admit. At first I thought one of my friends was playing a joke on me since it would not be the first time we have done something like this to one of the group. But then I felt someone trying to get my wallet out of my back pocket and heard another guy yelling something. I think he was saying Hurry up but dont really remember since I could not hear him very clearly.
I really started to struggle and managed to break away from the guy who had grabbed me. We wrestled around for a moment before I could turn around to really face him. One of them got me across the side of my head with one hell of a punch that sent me reeling. t somehow managed to grab an arm of one of the guys and for once Martial arts came in handy. I hyper extended his elbow to about 45 degree in the wrong direction and popped his shoulder out of joint.
The other guy jumped me again and I was able to get a couple strong hits on his chest and an elbow in his face. I am pretty sure that I broke his nose. But I dont know for sure. He and the guy who had been yelling went running. I called the police on my Cell phone and for once they responded fast. Could have had something to do with being less than a mile from the court house I guess.
I would love to say I was a bad ass and laid the smack down on these guys without getting a scratch. But I hurt like hell. My jaw hurts bad, my side is one big bruise, and one of them must have had a knife at some point because I have a nasty cut on my left shoulder that I didnt notice till a few minutes later when the adenilen died down.
And worst of all one of them must have kneed me in the groin.
They arrested the one guy whos arm I messed up and apparently he is already threatening to sue.
I am still shaking right now and having a hell of a time typing. My shoulder hurts, my groin hurts, and I feel like I am going to be sick again.
At least the Police and EMTs were nice. I didnt need stitches on my shoulder. They used butterfly bandages. Apparently it is hard to stitch that part of the body because of how the bone structure is.
The police took me to the station to get a statement and then sent me on my way. I managed to sneak into the house. I dread telling my family because I know they will freak out.
Anyway. Sorry for being long winded. I just needed to vent a little bit about this. Kind of play it out in my head and see what I could have done different to maybe avoid it in the first place. I should have been paying attention to my surroundings I let my mind wonder and I didnt pay attention to the people around me. That is an almost unforgivable mistake. And one that was almost very costly.
Anyway. I am going to try to get some sleep. Hav a good night guys.

I know it had to be scary.
If that guy sues, I hope he gets laughed out of court.

Moron who pulled out into an intersection and totalled my car when I was sixteen wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was trying to sue me for damages and whiplash. You shouldn't have to be on your toes 24/7. At least, in a righteous world. But don't beat yourself up at all over it happening; I think we can all agree thatyou handled it in a way most people only wish they could.
But for what it's worth, I'm sorry.
And that dude probably wouldn't be able to find a lawyer to sue you. Even the bottom feeding ambulance chasers know that's a case no one can win.

They would have been dissapointed though. I had 2 bucks in my wallet, a maxed out CC and a Debit card that I had not activated yet LOL. Oh and I was driving an old worn out truck since the head gasket on my Car blew out Wendsday. So if they got my keys, the take would not have been much better there.
They did not catch the other two that I know of yet. This was not a bad part of town or anything. In fact it was historic Downtown. The one problem in the area is a place Called Third base. It is a mid sized bar like the one I had just come from. But with a lot rougher crowd. lots of guys on bikes, etc like to hang out there. It is possible the guys came from there. But I won't know more till I talk to the police today.
I still hurt like hell this morning and my shoulder came open last night so my bed is soaked through in blood. I think I need to go to the Doc today and have it looked at.

And you are right. There is nothing romantic about Real life violence. It isn't sparring like in TKD, it sure as hell isn't like in the movies. There was no time to do anything fancy or sharp. Hell the only reason I was able to mess the guys arm up like I did is because I was flailing around seeing stars for a punch to the face. I grabbed it and just reacted. You don't know how much I would love to be able to claim some cool shit. LOL But then I would be lying.
I never had a chance to even think about going for my sidearm. But I was grabbing my knife when the guy took off after I got him with a couple good strikes. That was the first chance I had to breath..
The total time could not have been more than a minute or two. Time seems so strange at moments like that.
Oh well. I am rambeling and still feel so strange from all this. I have been in fights before. But never one like this where I felt my life threatened.
Once again thanks for the support guys. I will keep you all updated as I find out more from the police.

I have a similar story, but it doesn't involve me getting kicked in the cajones, and it ends with me running away like a girly man.
