And oh my fucking god.
Even during gameplay, the graphics just... kick fucking ASS.
Does anyknow know spoken japanese, btw?
The main char looks as fruity as fuck in his little harem boy vest, but it looks like a much darker game.
GAHHHHHH THEY THREW IT OFF!!! IT CANT BE A FINAL FANTASY WITH NON-TURN BASED COMBAT!

I seem to remember being able to turn on and off turn-based or ATB mode in FFVII at least...
Was that some job-changing action I saw in the battles?
But I agree with the general feeling so far that it looks good except for the main character.
PLEASE release it on the PC!

It's probably not going to happen but..PLEASE release it on the PC!
I don't really like those games but I do wonder, why did they stop releasing them for PC after 7? Keyboard / mouse controls seem far more suited to an RPG than a gamepad.
Acutally one of the major things I hate about the concept is the fact that the controls are so horribly inefficent. To use an item I have to go through ~6 keystrokes where with a mouse it would easily work in two or one if you implemented a quickitem system. Same for spells, combat functions, etc. [ 11-29-2003: Message edited by: Shazorx / Modrakien ]
They stopped releasing them mostly because it was too much extra work for too litle payoff.
Which is stupid because if they'd have carried on releasing them at a decent quality, people would have caught on. FFIX would have been popular on PCs I believe.

Check out the big brain on Mr. Parcelan!
Aside from the unfortunate tragedy of the hero looking like Lemmy, it looks pretty badass. Was that some job-changing action I saw in the battles?
And I -LOVE- Vaan for his look. He is my new favorite Final Fantasy Boy. Locke and Squall just don't stand up anymore and I don't even know Vaan's personality yet. I'm pleased.

So much for Ivalice then?

3 months wasted spewed forth this undeniable truth:
Remember, it is like Vaegrant Story, but it takes place in Ivalice (FF Tactics domain)
I agree I definitely saw some Vagrant Story influences in there. If it is then this game will be great just like Vagrant Story was. That and I'm glad the Square-Enix has gone to darker games. Seriously now, dressspheres? WTF!?

It's still in Ivalice!
It's just your in a country in Ivalice... I think.

Niklas had this to say about Tron:
I thought FFs on the PC were much better and never felt tempted to get a console JUST for FF games even though I enjoy them a lot. They stopped releasing them mostly because it was too much extra work for too litle payoff.
