I heard that Lupin's werewolf form is going to be a huge, lumbering, eight-foot tall monster sort of thing. I'm not particularly enthused about that.
The long shot with the Hodsmeade sign reminds me of the "There's something dark within me now.." Diablo II trailer.

Thank god, she scared the hell out of me.

I'll loan you the books.
You'll read them in like, less then a week.
What's the deal with Prof. Snape? Is he really on Harry's side or what?

I don't think he's evil, he's just a prick.

We STILL really don't know exactly. But Dumbledore trusts him implicitly, and insists that harry should do the same. It was revealed that Harry's dad and a few other people tortured Snape when they were all at hogwarts (Which would explain the mean-ness), but Snape is smart enough to realize that Harry's a special boy.. and in his own way (Deducting points, being hard on him, etc.), he's trying to make him a better wizard to defeat ol' moldy-vort.

Okay here goes:
Back in the old days, Snape was a double agent. He professed to be working for Voldemort, but in reality he was feeding information back to Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix (or those who would later form the Order). He doesn't like Harry because Harry's Dad, Lupin, Sirius, etc, used to make him look bad. He was a weaselly little rule follower, and the three of them had a lot of secrets (the fact that Lupin was a werewolf, for one), that Dumbledore was hip to, but didn't want to get out. Severus Snape is the model for all Good-aligned Slytherins. He believes in stacking the deck in your own favor, watching out for your own kind, harsh trials to strengthen a person's will and personality, and a strict abidance and exploitation of the rules. He also just happens to be a deep cover agent.

I've read a few other spoilers, and I'm betting that in this story the real culprit is going to be this Lupin dude, and presumably he'll be disposed of by the end of the movie. Is the cursed position of Defense Against the Dark Arts master a running gag throughout the entire series? =)

why don't you read the book? it's quite good. I didn't really like the 1st and 2nd that much, but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th really make reading the first two worth it.
