Why yes, I am asking for recommendations on what to ask for for a birthday present
Note $200 is about what I will have to spendm or about the limits of what I could ask for, so I need to know what, if any, sets I could buy based off this.
I own two DVDs so far -- the first Neon Genesis Evangelion DVD (with episodes 1-4. Liked it) and Excel Saga (first dvd, second on the way. Loved it.)
So...what to buy?
3x3 eyes is decent
so is Blue Seed
Trigun
Armitage movies
Bubblegum Crisis *get series both if you can
i liked some of the Harlok saga stuff (galaxy express 999)
thats pretty much all of the better stuff i have seen, and can think of at the moment
cookiejarvideo .com is cheeper, and sells the exact same stuff, ive ordered from them many times before, she always ships fas, and responds to emaisl very quickly

Anobi had this to say about Captain Planet:
I agree with the Trigun Box Set idea. Since I was practically broke, I had to buy the Trigun DVD's one at a time. Of course, Gunsmith Cats is a good series too, even if there is only 1 DVD in the series!
(*Careful! You might scare him away before he gets within firing range! ... Crap, there he goes.*) That was your fault that time.
Maybe start collecting slayers or Vision of Escaflowne.
Want more descriptive type recommendations? Go here. The prices aren't listed, but most of them say how many tapes there are.
If you want something sillier, track down the first season of Ranma 1/2 boxed set.
If you shop around, you might be able to get both for about $200.
I would get the Trigun Perfect Collection, NGE Perfect Collection and whatever others you could find and afford of Escaflowne, Blue Seed and Fushigi Yuugi.

www. cookiejarvideo.com (if I complete the url it says invalid html tag cookie, cant post, just delete the space) has the same stuff but cheeper, ive ordered form them twice so far, it came fast and everything, www.import-anime.com has reviews for hk dvds such as the ones they sell at discountanimedvd.com , you should check before you buy because some hks are realy bad quality
Or
As many Ruroken dvds your 200$ will buy you.
"Don't want to sound like a fanboy, but I am with you. I'll buy it for sure, it's just a matter of for how long I will be playing it..."

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust should be purchased first. Best soundtrack of any anime, incredible animation, and a fine dub. If I don't watch Bloodlust once or twice a week the withdrawl pains start.
