Kill yourself now before your eyes bleed from the horror of a remake.

Actually, it looks pretty good.

It won't be as good as the original, of course. But it won't be as bad as the remake of Psycho.

Ebert gave it a whopping ZERO stars

he says that "the movie was made by and for those with no attention spans."

That just makes we want to see it more

It seems all the critic reviews I read give this movie a bad review saying its "unorigional" and brings nothing new to the table. Don't they understand that its a remake and not a sequel?

I've heard that it not only "doesn't bring more" but that it brings even less than the original.

They supposedly hardly explain anything and if you want to accually understand it make sure youve seen the original.

but I dunno, I havent seen it myself yet

This movie will scare the heck out of you if you get scared by sudden things jumping on the screen.

It's kinda blah otherwise though.

This one is actually supposed to follow more along the lines of the actual events that inspired the original that took place out here around 75' near Waxahatchie. Both the 1957 Life of Ed Gein, and the bizzare murder/psychopathic homocides that took place from 74-75'. (To be quite freaky, I was born in 1975, in Waxahatchie.)

The original twisted the events and story into the more macabre (Which is kinda hard) like the Movies, Deranged, and odly enough, Psycho did before it. (Yes, Psycho was also based off the life of Ed Gein, the original instigator, it didn't follow the events of the real Texas Chainsaw Massacre though.)

I have not seen it, I would like to see it. The original is a classic, but by no means a deep or good representation of cinema, but it doesn't really have to try to hard to be another remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre... and it CAN'T be worse than House of 1000 Corpses...

Ed Gein was also part of the inspiration behind Hannibal Lecter, Hannibal The Cannibal.

Fae, while your sigpic is an ultimately cool digitalized rendering of yourself, it's not really very fitting with the Faelynn name

She has been abducted, I have locked her in the back room... If you listen good enough, you can still hear her screaming.

Hey, I liked House of 1000 Corpses.
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

My major gripe with this movie was that they failed to explain anything at all. Besides that and the ridiculous ending, it was ok.
There's a King on a throne with his eyes torn out.
There's a Blind Man looking for a shadow of doubt.
There's a Rich Man sleeping on a golden bed.
There's a Skeleton choking on a crust of bread.

Well it's got that chick from 7th Heaven in it... can't expect too much from her... mediocre actress at best.
