On the other hand, the last "Good Cosplay" pic (of the chick from FFX), is actually part of a series of pictures. Find the rest!

Just because it's from a...picture site...doesn't mean it isn't good cosplay!
After OP talked about cosplay one night in one of the forums with AP, I plugged "Cosplay" into my Kazaa.
Some of it was funny, some of it was not (sailor moon...grrrr...), some of it was cool (there was a pic of a guy dressed up as Vash the Stampede that looked cool), and then there were the hentai cosplay pics and movies.
Let me tell you...you never want hentai associated in any way with OP in your mental flowchart.

I could only provide links to about half the collection. That's of course after I ported them to work and put them on my server... which I'm a lazy bastard....

I'm not a fool.Although the guy dressing up as Dejiko is just funny. I dunno what it is but every time I see a guy in that outfit I can't help but snicker.

It's my personal preference. If I can't do a decent job of impersonating the character, then I'm not gonna do it. Simple as that. Trying to be some dorky thin character when you're definately not of that profile is just asking for it.
Besides, eventually I'll get off my ass and get the costume for Pochini from Photon together.

Okay...Here's the deal. Most cosplayers, who put real effort into a costume they intend to look seriously good (Lyinar's Fan Faire costume, Rodent King's Fan Faire costume, etc), I take as being brave folks looking to have fun.
Guys dressing up as girl characters? Grotesquely overweight people dressing up as svelte Sailor Moon types? Look...I'm a tubby bastard and I wouldn't in all seriousness try to pass myself off as a skinny guy. My fan fair costume was a joke...guy my size pretending to be the slender and athletic Ja'Deth. No way. It was a silly joke. You want me to respect them for their bravery? Only in a juvenile "fraternity prank" sort of way. Sorry.
