It would have been the greatest movie ever:
IF IT WAS NAMED ANYTHING BUT FINAL FANTASY.
KH2 and the Chain of Memories looks pretty spif though.

If square puts out a movie and calls it final fantasy, I'd at least expect it to have SOMETHING to do with the series.

It was a decent movie. IT JUST HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH FINAL FANTASY.

It had alot to do with the series, since it came out after the game series went from Cool Fantasy MechaMagica Land to Whiney Technological Behemoth Shitfest. [ 09-25-2003: Message edited by: Skaw ]

Wait just a god damn minute, that doesn't even make any sense - Final Fantasy has absolutely nothing to do with Final Fantasy. There isn't a single continuous theme throughout the entire series, every iteration is completely different from the last save for the fact that they all entail a cataclysmic battle with an ultimate evil.

But there are things that are in each of the games. Seven was an unfortunate branch off, and eight never existed. Barring the two of them, they all were in a FANTASY-ESQUE SETTING.

VII actually was something of a fantasyish setting, although more the steampunk sort of fantasy.

True. It was a far reach, though.
Very pretty, very cinematic, very devoid of any decent story, and boring as sin.

Another Final Fantasy movie.

What are you bitching about? The movie's going to be a direct sequel to VII.

Cool! More characters with absolutely no personality whatsoever. ^_^

I'm easy to please. If it's got Red XIII in it, I'll be happy.
WHERE WERE THE FUCKING CHOCOBO AND MOGS
Yay!
There is nothing Cid can make that Yuffie can't steal, break, or hotwire.
And it looks like the hero MAY be the person with the light blondish hair who's facing away in the cartoon picture - in the screenshots, the hair seems to light to be Sora. Actually, it IS the lighter person. Look at the clothing. [ 09-26-2003: Message edited by: Gikkwiny ]
