Bummer.
New question: Where's the best place to look for a dragon? I allready killed the (first) one that you fight as part of the plot, and it's no longer there if I revisit that battlefield. I need to find another and catch it. Making 'em is too expensive with just one kill.

I'm not sure where you can find a dragon easily, but in one of the missions in Chapter 6 I believe, Laharl's challenge, you fight a single knight. When you repeat the stage, she is replaced by a Fafnir, the second tier dragon. Easy capture.

There's a reason for that.
Hint: Because it is.
Edit: The mission refferenced in my earlier post is Chapter 6, Mission 4. [ 09-21-2003: Message edited by: Sakkra ]

It's lighthearted, fun, fast paced, and has some interesting tactics to play with.
I haven't played enough of FFTA to know much about it, other than that it really is kinda hard to see some of that stuff on that small screen.

It is. FFT:A was a letdown. Not a terrible game, but its readily apparent that Quest folks were highly responsible for FFT and Square did most of the work on FFTA.

I'm a little over 30 hours into it and I don't want to finish it, but I feel like I'd have wasted my time if I don't. sux

To capture monsters, it should be around the level of your other party members. Then just reduce it to low hp and chuck it onto your base panel. If you're successful, it'll capture the monster.
However, if you try capturing something that has too much hp, or is too high a level, it will kill everyone still inside your base, as well as destroy the base panel.
Also, boss monsters, including Flonne's dragon, cannot be captured.

Falaanla Marr probably says this to all the girls:
Sakkra: Do you get the monster at the level you capture it at, too?
Yes, but as I said before, it shouldn't be much higher than the level of your party. Unfortunately I made the mistake of trying to capture a level 112 nekomata in 5-3 from throwing all the monsters together. Even though it only had 3 hp, it still wiped out everyone in my base, including my Laharl, Etna, Gordon, etc.

now...what if the levels fo my other party members vary wildly? I have some at 10, some at 20, and some at 40.
I have no idea.

Basically, everyone in your party in the base square fights the monster and loses HP. Those with less HP than the damage done will die. If you've got anyone left alive, you capture the monster.

The easiest way is to find the highest level senator in the session and bribe it as much as possible. Then, throw every opposing senator of lower level at it during the persuade by force session. This'll make it into a senator that likes you, with the combined level. Very useful if you don't want to fight level 200 senators at 75
