A question though. Is there a way to mask my IP? I don't mind giving it here but if I want to post it somewhere else, I don't want to let them know what my IP is.

As soon as they connect to your ftp they can get your IP with a simple netstat. To mask it you'd most likely have to run it through some kind of proxy whose IP would then in turn be visible.

Unless of course you're just worried about a bunch of random retards who don't know that and can only read the ip out of the actual link, an account with dynip.com if it's still there would solve that.

There is a program called ProxyChain available on Download.com, though if you want to use it for more than fifteen minutes you'll be forced to pay for it.

Neat program though.

I have the file here at work. Dual T1 so most likely anyone downloading from me will be the bottleneck.

Does the software track that file? I just dropped it to my desktop but I am going to move it to my rack drive. Will torent find it there once I copy the file?

If you want to seed the file out, open the torrent again and when it asks where to save the file, just point to the complete file. It'll verify the contents and begin sending it out. Make a backup if you're overly worried.
