edit: warning - may contain babble

I almost never remember my dreams. When I do they are usaly blunt... most of the time they are my subconscious telling me something I am afraid to admit myself, and with one exception are always right.

For example, I had a dream that I was sitting in class, observing but unable to change anything. One of the kids in the class was beaten by people in military uniforms and then later moved to canada, while the teacher was telling the class my lab partner died in a car accident. It weirded me out for a week, and a year later my lab partner died in a car accident and the kid moved to canada. The gut feeling/stranges dreams are almost almost always right (with one exception) when it comes to women and relationships, good or bad (regardless of weather or not I chose to listen to them). Kinda how I didn't have to be told when the girl I was dating was spooning with an other guy in the bed we were sharing last year when I was at a my grandmother's funeral. You know, that gut feeling that helps me always win at blackjack (walked away with $310 from $25 two weeks ago at AC.. bought my co-workers lunch from it :-D) and such....

Anyhow, I had the strangest dream last night. Dark as hell in some building, sitting down, wearing something over my shoulders, while lisetning to some guy say hebrew letters... "Yud Gimmel Yud Hay" or something.. don't remember exactly. Was woken up by a machine calling me (my answering machine picked up.... and this machine went BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP).. then went back to bed. I have no IDEA what the hell it could mean... usaly my dreams are blunt, I don't know what this one could mean.... so I'm posting this post in hopes to maybe help myself figure out what the hell it means....

Could mean that bad things are in the future ( the darkness not knowing where you are ) Sitting down could mean your in submission, or you are to be respected, and not having to spend much energy. Now the guy saying hebrew letters could mean your holy, or is could be him cleansing your soul of evil or something of the sort. Now, he is repeating the "Yud" word. have any friends that know some other languages? they might know what that means. might look into all that.

It all depends on how you look at it to determine weather its good or bad. Some of my dreams are like this, and it takes a while to figure out what it could mean. best thing is to never stick to one conclusion for each item, look at all the diferent possible conclusions, and notice every damn thing in the dreams, they all have different meanings.

... course thats for crazy people like me who believe in this stuff.

It sounds like you usually only remember the dreams with important meaning, but you were woken up during the dream this time. Maybe you normally wouldn't have remembered this one?
I believe in the existance of magic, not because I have seen proof of its existance, but because I refuse to live in a world where it does not exist.

Well, to me, it seems that dreams have different meanings to everyone, and there's no one system for determining what they mean. It all depends on how you feel about things... For example, Freud's dream classification system states that black is an ominous color, representing death, doom, gloom, etc. I don't really think this is true unless you think of the color black this way. It's your brain, right? No one else can tell you exactly what you're thinking.

The answering machine part probably plays no part in the meaning of your dream, because it was an outside stimulus..thing... Really, I would say that you have too little information to go by because your dream was interrupted, and if it's really bugging you, you could look up some stuff on the internet about learning how to re-enter your dreams through something like lucid dreaming.

Sorry to sound like a textbook, or something, but I've been reading a lot about dreams recently.

Hope this has helped you in some way.
