Your just used to the suckage of Rathe, and the other suckages are new and confuse you. If you just let them grow on you, you'd probably hate The Rathe just as much as you hate the others in time.

And maybe occasionally there'll be a raid to the same place we went before and it'll be more killing the same things over and over and over, only this time it's with 18 people instead of 6. But get this: I might get some uber new armor out of it that does nothing more than give me enough mana to do an extra half-nuke (If that)!
That usually kills the urge to play EQ pretty quickly. I suggest you do the same.

actually since about a month after you left we stopped doing HoT every other day started doing lots of shit. Zlandi, Klandi, BoT Tower lords, getting regularly butt raped by a giant lobster (Sontalak), Vindi, Statue, ect. so what you said, at least about the raid stuff, really isn't true.
and there is of course the primary reason why EQ is still king: It STILL hasn't been beaten by all the "EQ killers" that have been released since it's inception and has outlasted both UO and AC which were the other two "First Generation" MMORPGs. KaL, the reason I quit the first time was because my guild I was in broke up. I was in a high level raiding guild, where we would go out almost every day to do something. The thing I missed after we broke up was the comraderie, so I just decided I was done for awhile. After that, I got a full-time job, then I went in the military so I haven't had time to play until now, and even then my time is limited. I'm only considering playing right now, and the reason I asked is because I want to start off on a server where I know some people, rather than a completely new server.
it's all good. I just wanted some insight on why you left. All the haters and naysayers telling you "OMG EQ SUX SUX SUX SUX" and all that. Luclin would probably be your best bet then.. seems to have the highest concentration of ECers

That's only a small part of the raid stuff, though. Everything else about raiding still stands.
