The Nazi swastika is backwards.

And in July last year Hong Kong coffee chain Pacific Coffee was forced to apologise after its stores used a quote from Hitler for its chalkboard "Thought for the day" spot.
That is total bullshit.
Evil man he was, for sure. But he was a smart tactician (well, except for the whole attacking Russia thing) and a smart guy. Unless the quote had to do with Killing Jews or some shit, what the hell is the problem?
"What luck for rulers, that men do not think."

Like that one, if people didn't know that it was Hitler's quote, no one would give a fuck and think it's a creative quote.

Actually no, he was a crafty politican but his involvement in miilitary things never did any good for the germans and lost them the war in the end.

I'm probably wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that he came up with smart and new tactics or something.
Wasn't the Blitz his idea?

Too many, Hitler is something that most would like to forget, to erase him from human history for what he did. So they hink that using his quotes and stuff like that is perpetuating his memory. Most would just like to forget him.

We were all impressed when Warlord Darius wrote:

Its not backwards, it was tilted 45 degrees.
At least thats what I heard.

The Buddhist's have two swastikas. One is good for life and happiness, the other is backwards for hexes and stuff. The Nazis took the backwards one and tilted it 45 degrees.
quote:
Many people in the West know of the swastika only from its evil apropriation by the Nazis, due in part to their obsession with Aryan (East Indian) symbology. However, that represents only a miniscule history of this symbol, which could be argued to be the most universal symbol of life and luck that humanity has ever known. It was revered by the Jews, Christians, Africans, Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Tibetans, Indians, Occultists -- the list goes on and on. Let's make the generalization that it's played a significant role in the spiritual life of practically every culture on the planet.

Well there's the whole invading Russia fiasco, the fact that he did not allow troops at Stalingrad to break the russian line surrounding them and retreat, etc. Yes he came up with the Blitzkrieg but you have to remember the countries that fell so easily to it were mostly weak, Germany had been preparing for war for years before.

Wasn't the Blitz his idea?
No it wasn't, Hans Guderian, who stole it from the British and French anyway, developed it. The Blitz is a two part deal, one is the Blitzkrieg Philosophy and a throw back to WW1, the Schlieffen Plan. The Schlieffen Plan from WW1 is were the strategy to invade France which involved bypassing Frances direct borders with Germany and invading through Belgium and the Netherlands and then coming down from the north. The Blitzkreig Philosophy is simply to move fast and hit hard. The world saw this recently in Iraq, but is essentially a very old idea that has its roots in the Calvary. The twist on blitzkrieg was the incorporation of air support. The biggest reason why the Germans were able to do this was because they happen to have a bunch of very crafty people that had no problem taking to new technology, and some progressive thinking generals that took to the strategy.
But Hitler as a military leader, blew chucks big time. Shit after he had crete invaded by paratroops only and took heavy losses, he decided they were useless and sent them to Russia as normal ground troops.
