Alright situation here is that when I install a game, eg EQ, it runs fine when I play it. Though, if I log out and quit the game, but then I want to play again, when I open it, it says there is an error in the game, and it wont run. BUT. On all the other games that need to be installed with a CD and need the CD to run the game, I cant run it. I install the game, then play it for a bit, then when I quit out and want to play again later, nothing happens at all. So, I need to reinstall the game again. Then it works perfectly fine. It is just when I quit out that I get that problem. I am using Windows XP, and I formatted my computer COMPLETELY and reinstalled XP, so it is not that, that I need to worry about. My uncle says that somewhere in the Windows program there is some kind of 'switch' that will let me play the game properly.
If anyone can tell me how to get to this 'switch' I will be very happy!
Thanks in advance!

Eh...sounds like something that wants to restore settings to whatever they were prior to the last install or something, assuming it IS a "switch" in the OS. I have 2k, and I've heard of just about every error or funky setting with XP (Dad has it on one of his machines and he's had to work out all the settings for himself) but I have NEVER heard of that sort of thing (and Dad's constantly installing new software on his machine).

If you install and it gives you an error message, is it a numbered message or just a generic message? And if so, what is it?
