In my opinion, I must say that the funniest movie I have ever seen has to be "Old School" because Will Ferrel is a god among comedians. If you have seen the movie, I would also like to add, "Some of you may be thinking, why am I holding this 35 pound cinderblock".

If this is true, then why do we fear it?
but I'm putting down my favorite movie as either, Frank Herbert's Dune or Resident Evil. Just because both movies are very well done and stick to their origins.

Drama: Minority Report. Very tense throughout the whole movie. Only movie ever in which I actually liked Tom Cruise.
Horror: Signs. Scary at times. Reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock's works.
Action: X-Men 2. Nuff said.
If this is true, then why do we fear it?

It's not something people hear about.

My favorite is definately Almost Famous. I that movie.
edit: No way I'm listing each category. I'm not even going to attempt to categorize Almost Famous. [ 06-29-2003: Message edited by: Kegwen ]

Sean wrote this then went back to looking for porn:
Comedy: Blazing Saddles - Just a classic, there is no topping it.
Drama: The Shawshank Redemption - Incredible performances from all involved.
Horror: Se7en - R. Lee Ermey, Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin motherfuckin' Spacey. You just can't beat a cast with a script like that.
Action: Terminator 2 - A work of art.
wow, I was thniking to myself and those were all either #1 or #2 for each category, so I'll let it stand.
No, Really. Bite me.
I guess Bram Stroakers(sp) Dracula has to take the drama slot.
Horror: 28days later Trust me, go see it. Just the fucking jumpy parts get to you.
Creapiest movie would have to be the Ring though.
Action: Agree on T2 here.
Drama: Trainspotting
Horror: the omen
Action: crouching tiger
Drama- The Green mile. I FUCKING CRIED, OKAY? WHEN HE WAS STRAPPED INTO THE CHAIR WHISPERING, "I'M IN HEAVEN... I'M IN HEAVEN... I'M IN HEAVEN..." I WAS BLUBBERING LIKE A FUCKING BABY.
Horror- Tie between the original Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th VIII(Jason Takes Manhattan!). You little kid homo fags who praise these cheesy horror movies that are made now days forget what helped create the genre!
Action- Le Pacte des Loups. If you can get past the martial arts in France during the 1700s, it has some of the sweetest action scenes ever. Though Hard Boiled comes in a distant second, but is a better movie if you just like mindless violence.
It's not something people hear about.
Comedy: Tank Girl, my hero!
Drama: Life is Beautiful, but not for sissies who need happy endings.
Horror: Resident Evil, cause it's made me jump more than Se7en (which only made me jump once).
Action: Gladiator, yes I drooled watching Russell Crowe in action.
Drama: Knocking on Heaven's door - Comedy and drama form a delicious melange of greatness
Horror: Hmm... the first Alien movie or Event Horizon
Action: The first Matrix movie was something special

28days later
By far the stupidest movie I have ever seen. Half the people walked out of the theater it was so fucking stupid when I went to see it last night. Waste of time and money.
Drama: Shawshank Redemption
Horror: *shrugs* Never seen a movie that scared me, so can't really say
Action: The Boondock Saints

Thinking about your posts
(and billing you for it) since 2001
Drama: Ordinary People
Horror: Rosemary's Baby. No Snoota, it was Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" That started the slasher genera.
Action: True Lies (First thing that popped in my head).

Your right, but it was good for comical value.
And My god How did I forget the Boondock Saints! Thats one of the greatest fucking movies of all time! Willam = Scary as hell on all occasions. [ 06-30-2003: Message edited by: Y.O.T.G. ]

How do you grow up with a penis and not see any of those?
It's not something people hear about.

I've only seen Blazing Saddles.
Oh yeah! and part of T2.
Additionally, I feel that Brotherhood of the Wolf deserves to be mentioned here.

Wow, it's been sold out like, 3 days in a row here.

I had ultra restrictive parents. I wasnt allowed to watch SIMPSONS when i lived at home.
Drama - Glory. Matthew Broderick, Morgan freeman, Denzel Washington, So many great actors in one small area, I fail to see how this could be a bad movie. Not only that, but the theme and flavor of the movie was quite possibly one of the most excellent I have ever seen with an unmatched execution.
Horror - Not really a genre, in my opinion. Cheap thrill, maybe. If I had to choose, Alien.
Action - See horror. If I had to chose, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Horror: 28 Days Later. I will not stop going on about this movie, Get the DVD when it comes out in the states, it's great.
Action: (Edited) The Crow. If you'd call it an action movie.
Drama: Shooting Fish. I think it comes under the category of "obscure drama/comedy/Brit Flick" but I think it Just about counts as drama. [ 06-30-2003: Message edited by: leckzilla! ]
