I didn't say it was a path to enlightenment...It is your Way, though, isn't it? And it is unique. Buddha had his Nine-Fold-Path, the Fonz had the leather jacket, and the Way of Bajah lies with the hat. And just like sitting under a tree or wearing a leather jacket doesn't make you as wise as the Buddha or as cool as the Fonz, wearing a purple top hat isn't the Way to be like Bajah. But it is Bajah's Way. It is part of who Bajah is, and that natural state is very much in harmony with the Tao.

They aren't identified with their hats. For them it's a fashion trend. For you, the hat is more like an artifact of personality. No one can get cool points or spiritual creaminess, no one can be themselves if they're wearing "Bajah's Hat". That'd be the spiritual equivalent of wearing someone else's underwear; you might feel supported, but ultimately it's not cool.
