Thinking back on it, I honestly don't remember a disparity between the two.

Half the series I saw subbed over CBTao's house, the other half dubbed.Thinking back on it, I honestly don't remember a disparity between the two.
Eh, I just think that the voices fit the characters better, but I'm a bit biased

If you saw them subbed first you'd think the same thing about the American voices.
Generally I don't like the japanese voices in anything, ever. ever.

I generally prefer the Japanese voices in most things, but not all.
When I saw EVA, I saw english first and still liked the japanese... but OTOH, I saw Princess mononoke in english first, and I hate the japanese voices.
So it depends. I haven't seen many shows in english so I can't judge.
however before buying the Perfect Sessions "limited" box set I had downloaded all the eps and the movie and got to know them very well subbed
I honostly enjoy both, I think the american voice brings a lot more...seriousness to spike, but I think the core dialog is better in japanese sub, it has a lot more indepth meanings that are simply glazed over for the american audience, and that sucks.
is the movie dubbed in the same voices as the tooanmi series?

The Great Voldo had this to say about pies:
I just finished watching the series. Is the movie a rehash of everything that happened or does it take place after the last episode?
I've only watched the first six episodes so far, but I'm pretty sure the movie was just a story arc from the series.
When that dude had some funky nanovirus or something and blew up a gas tanker full of it in the middle of the city and that Faye chick saw it because she was chasing some hacker dude who was supposed to be in the truck and it turned out the bad guy was some old Military dude from Mars who was supposed to be dead and was immune to the virus and tried to kill everyone on Halloween by blowing up giant Jack o Lanterns filled with the stuff but he and Spike fought on some tower like they were FUNKY CHINA MEN FROM FUNKY CHINA TOWN, THEY WERE CHOPPING THEM UP AND CHOPPING THEM DOWN, IT'S AN ANCIENT CHINESE ART AND EVERYBODY KNOWS THEIR PART. FROM A FEINT INTO A SLIP, TO A KICK RIGHT FROM THE HIP EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING! until his old friend from the military/ex girlfriend killed him when they were supposed to kill each other, only he let her live because he remembered that once before he had his memories taken away he had loved her or some such romantic nonsense
