Eh, its still not pure Unix...it maintains hybrid status with the continued implementation of the OS 9 "Classic" enviroment. But yeah, OSX is a Unix-core.

2k is pretty much a newer equivalent of NT, isn't it?

No I disagree. I think it has less features. It's the idiots Os. The only good part to it is that it doesn't crash.... no crash! Uhh I wish it was like my car. Damn telephone pole, you had to get in the way didn't you!

That would make sense, if it were true, but it isn't.

WinXP is build 5.1.2600, Win2k is 5.0

Win2k is a beta version of XP, it's simple math.

Uh, okay. That's your opinion, along with a handful of other crazy 2k loyalists. At least they generally have valid reasons to argue with.

well the features are there, but they're hidden... you actually have to know something to use them... unlike 2k, which was make for non idiots, unlike xp. Im not saying that everyone that uses xp is an idiot, cause I use it, it's just that the idiots use it cause it's simple.

That's what the general consumer wants. It was an intelligent move on Microsoft's behalf.

I'm eagerly anticipating Longhorn, which is supposed to please both parties.

edit: The only reason I use XP is because I like the themes.
