Today is a very shitty day. The medical costs for humans is bad enough; the cost for our animals is through the roof. Because an operation to remove bladder stones in my dog costs well over 1 grand, I have to have him put down tonight.

This just really sucks. Even working out payment arrangements I just can't swing the cost in my budget.

I am not exactly well versed in the subject, but can dogs not pass kidney stones like we do? Eventually.

I've seen kidney stones in animals (Animal planet. Dunno why I watch that station) pulled out that were the size of walnuts, and bigger.

It's more humane to just put them down.
