My god, who would ever pay to play this game besides those wacky Korean folk

*cough* Where were you this morning?

The sad thing is, I just got my merchant to Vendor level. I've turned 4.4k into 40k so far though... Too bad it's all a waste.

It was fun at first, but the world is to small, all the good stuff, isnt implemented, and there is no quests. And now, you get all that for $12/month! ummm thank you , No.

I wouldn't know if the game is worth playing or not. The only time I could connect to the servers, the lag was so horrendous I couldn't enjoy myself at all

Yea, I forgot about lag,(how, I don't know.) I spent more time standing still from lag then I did playing.

Playing from the office it wasn't too bad. Occasional lag bursts, but I get that in EQ so I didn't mind too much. Usually from my dialup at home it sucks ass, but part of that is the fact that my laptop has a shitty modem.

Last night was pure love. Only 6k people in game.. areas that normally were choked to all hell were actually usable once again.

I'm sure it will be a bit more fun in the P2P mode, but it's not worth $12 to beta test a buggy, engrish based game.

BWHAHAHAHAHA

Pulled this gem from their "BBS"...

quote:

Hello, this is the iRO team.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining the community of iRO’s free BBS. Please be aware that any users posting profanity or racial slurs will be dealt with according to the posted rules and punishments. Remember, that by using the free BBS, you are agreeing to the Rules of Conduct posted on the welcome page to each board. Also, in order to settle any confusion related to check/debit card payments, we will state that only automatic recurring Direct Debit subscriptions will be charged additional fees. These additional fees are due to the higher cost of receiving payments via this method. Conventional check/debit/credit card transactions will not be charged this extra fee. Once Ragnarok Online goes live on June 1, 2003, the beta testing period will officially end and Ragnarok Online will be a commercial product. Thank you for your concern and we hope that you will continue to enjoy Ragnarok Online.
