Well, it seems I'm in a bit of trouble.

Remember the whole prom thing? Well, yeah, i went there for about an hour or so, and I basically realized that it sucked. So I left.

Well, here's the problem. I had a date.

Wait, another problem: Nobody bothered to, you know, inform me of this. And my date wasn't actually acting like my date or anything.

In fact, I was told with the group I was travelling with that I wasn't actually taking anyone to prom, and that I was just going with the group and stuff just to prom.

I didn't even get to ride in the limo (I was all last minute beacuse people pushed me into it, otherwise this wouldn't have even happened) and stuff.

But after I left, apparently, I was asked about and my 'date' had told people that I had ditched her, and she was confused.

So, yeah, I have about 3 outstanding calls for people to call me back to clear this up.

My life right now is a comedic series of errors.

It's kinda funny, that's why I posted this.

So...any advice?

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

Uhh...

*hug the lenny*

All I can offer you, dude. Except sincerly telling the chick that no one told YOU that you were her date, and that if you knew, you would have let her know before you baled.

The chick is on crack. She'll have to be killed; give the order.

That failing, ask her what the deal is, then explain your side of things and don't let up 'til she understands just how wrong she is.

[EDIT] That's the beauty of the Internet. No, I didn't say that *whistle whistle whistle*

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Yeah, in such a case, the truth is the only option.

Tell anyone who asks that you just didn't know, because you got rushed into it at the last minute and all that shit. The truth shall set you free.

Yeah, I'm just hoping it turns out okay, because it was a huge misunderstanding.

no reason to feel guilty. not exactly sure how it was a "date" if you didn't ask her yourself.

in any case, call the girl, and people involved if really necessary, say the truth. easy fix.

tell her that you were so afraid of ruining your chances with her that you ran scared, and now you're scared that you really ahve ruined it.

Ask her if you could have a chance to show her the real you, and then see how things go.

If you're slick, you can VERY EASILY turn this to your advantage.

First, explain the truth to the girl.

Then, use the following line:

"Look...just give me a chance to make it up to you."

Played right, sex is inevitable.

This is definitely worth a try--if nothing else to reassure her that she didn't do anything wrong (no one is implying that she did, chicks just seem to act that way). And if she cared enough to be pissed at you for not showing up, she's probably not going to change her opinion over night. Use the "didn't want to ruin my chances with you" line very carefully...

No, "making it up to her" won't work, sadly. All you need is the truth, or more than the truth, which is want they want to hear.

Clarificaiton.

She has a boyfriend.

This was, from what I gather, a general set up just to drag me to prom.

And she wasn' that pissed (from second-hand information), just irked and confused.

Doh.
