Why the heck do blademasters AND heroes get ignore pain and purge cheaper, but also get determination (anti-mezz), which are three uber important skills, while champions don't? WE'RE FREAKING TANKS TOO, YOU KNOW.
And don't say 'cuz you all get magic realm abilities'.
Wild Arcana? Practically useless. Debuffs really don't get time to be cast in rvr, anyway, and it wouldn't matter much.
MCl and raging power? Blah. That's silly. Maybe if I had 100 RP.
Ooh, serenity. Oh, wait, we never have enough power anyway.
Grr. Sorry, it bugs me that champs didn't get something that the other tanks (champs are afull tank class with about 15% caster in them) got.
Also, our special ability blows.

No, it'd cause casters to throw a fit. They hate the fact that pure melees have the low costs as is. Mythic would never get away with giving it to hybrids now.

heh, play a paladin, then you can bitch.
on the more serious note, pure melees got that because they have -no- ranged attack and no speed buff (something paladins also conveniently lack)
so they had to have skills that would assist their lack of anything in that area, champions have that irritating snare, debuffs, nukes, thanes have nukes out the wazoo, pure-melees have no real decent ranged attack
ignore pain is so they survive to get there, same with determination, etc etc
so yeah, thats why its the way it is

As if you've, you know, never ever whined about anything ever.
Also, anyone who knows anything about champs knows that the DEBUFFS ARE STILL BROKEN (They only are about... 56-65% effective, at last count)
I also understand why pure melees got that, I understand fully why, and Im glad they did.
I still think 14 (actually, 23, considering first aid, which has its uses, but isn't one of the best skills out there) is waaaay too much.
And msot champs I've seen quite agree, although this is a lost cause.
If it makes you feel better, DS, I think that blademasters should get scale, and a ton of stuff.

Honestly, in Albion paladins are VERY requested these days, in both RvR and PvE. You're mostly an endbot and guardbot, but you're also more likely to live through a fight because you're the least important person to attack behind a armsman/merc. They're still not going to be doing major damage, but that's not really their purpose. Oh, and paladin's taunt spells count as a ranged attack since they interrupt casting, speed, etc.
