I'm leery of using the Demon Heatsink. My old processor died today. I think it was on its way out anyway, because I've been having problems with the computer before I even started putting together the new system. Still leery of using that, though.
Any suggestions? Preferably a place I could get fast shipping from, since my RMA'd processor may be here Monday.

The Thermaltake Volcano 7+ is also a very respectible heatsink.
If you're feeling spendy:
The Thermalright SLK-800U is one of the best coolers on the market (second only to the SLK-900) and mounts using the motherboard holes rather than the clips. This is a little less strenuous because you just tighten the screws like in the directions.

and lyn, about the volcano 9, it's extremely much worse than the volcano7+. Unless you REALLY can't spare the extra $3, I'd highly suggest the 7+. If you leave it at stock speeds, there will be a 5-6 degree C difference between the two, and if you overclock, there will be a ~150-250MHz difference between where the two will take you.

Oh, it's not the cost. The 7+ just kind of confuses me. How the heck does it attach?
clip that attaches to the center clip similar to your current HSF. [ 05-03-2003: Message edited by: Burger ]
